Work Experience
Salisbury Arts Centre regularly welcomes students to join us for their work experience placements.
Work placements are designed to give an insight into the running of an Arts Centre and is a good way of finding out about the arts as a future career path. We prefer to offer a broad overview of the whole centre rather than a placement in one department; this means that there is the opportunity to work in box office, marketing, operations, front of house and technical. The work will vary depending on the events we have taking place during the placement.
The Arts Centre does not produce its own work so we do not offer experience in make up or costume design, set building or design. However, on occasion, resident or visiting companies maybe doing site specific work that it may be possible to get involved in.
We are looking for enthusiastic young people, who are outgoing and have a genuine interest in the behind the scenes operation of the arts centre. Ability to use a computer and the Internet may be beneficial as well as the confidence to work with the public. A willingness to work hard and as part of a team is essential.
We also consider applications from students in Further Education who may have a specific area of interest. Please do contact us for further details.
Please note all work experience and placements are voluntary positions.

Volunteering
Salisbury Arts Centre is able to programme a wide range of events and continue to be one of the leading arts venues in Wiltshire and surrounding region thanks to the help of our dedicated team of volunteers.
The volunteering team play a distinct and vital role within the organisation and the commitment, enthusiasm and ideas from the volunteers are an essential part of the character of the arts centre.
We are not recruiting for any new volunteers at the moment, however do check back in the future as we will be reviewing the volunteer scheme this season.
