Creative Projects

In addition to our main programme, which you can find out all about in What's On, we have five exciting creative projects that we call Edge, Dream, Shine, Play and Sky. As is often the case in the arts, we realise those titles are a little bit abstract so here's what they're all about!

Edge

Edge is about different viewpoints, about feeling like you're on the edge of something. In our programme it's about exploring diversity and disability and encouraging people to reconsider their "edges"and those of others.

Working with Link Up Arts, La Folia and Motivart we've brought together disabled and non-disabled artists and performers to investigate and blur the edges.

Dream

Dream is about virtual worlds and the infinite possibilities of new media and the digital world. It's hard to keep up with technology but we're doing our best!

For several years now we've offered Magic Lantern, a free and informal group for film makers and enthusiasts. Filmmakers Anonymous is now a fully fledged youth company and this season we've recently hosted our very own Film Festival.

Shine

Shine is about creating a bright future for young people and families in Salisbury and beyond.

Our Family Days have been going from strength to strength and last summer for the first time, with the support of Salisbury City Council, we made our Family Festival free so it could be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Play

Play is a response to our mischievous side and is currently finding an outlet through our visual arts programme. It's about exploring, discovering, taking part, and looking at things afresh.

We've invited you to add to a giant clay story mountain, we've encouraged you to dine beneath Venice, we've even asked you to bring offerings for The Salisbury Golem... whatever next?

Sky

Sky is about the great outdoors and reaching out beyond the walls of the Arts Centre building. Yes we're a venue but we like to get out and about sometimes, meet new people and see the sky.
