Show and Tell #9 - Angie Street
Angie Street is an experienced workshop leader with an impressive history of working in the playwriting and theatre industry. She set up She Writes and Juno Theatre for women theatre makers in Salisbury. Angie runs an established writing group, Red Hot Writers, to help playwrights develop their scripts to a professional level.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Scriptwriting from University of South Wales and has worked as a Scriptwiring Tutor with the Open University. Angie is a Script Reader with Bristol's Tobacco Factory and the TMA judging panel. Her workshops at the Arts Centre focus on exploring individual creativity using stimulating writing exercises and games. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Swimming in the sea.
What lies at the heart of your own desire to do your creative work?
Anger, pain, injustice, absurdity, joy.
What are the first things you do in developing an idea in response to a subject?
Panic, tidy up, write crap, repeat.

'In Bruges'. Martin McDonagh's writing is sublime.
