Three Bears

Porridge

To celebrate Goldilocks coming to Salisbury Arts Centre on Monday 13 February, we’ve cooked up a treat of a traditional recipe that will be 'just right'.

Method

1. Put one cup of oats into a saucepan with four cups of milk.

2. Stir gently over a medium heat until it starts to bubble.

3. Turn down the heat slightly and simmer (stirring regularly) for about five minutes.

4. Add a pinch of sugar to taste and stir well. (It's traditional to add a pinch of salt to porridge, but you really don't need to, especially for babies and children).

5. Serve with any of the suggested toppings below.
