Salisbury Arts Centre has six trained Arts Award Advisors who are able to tailor activities to suit your projects and chosen art forms.
Salisbury Arts Centre is also Arts Award Welcome so if you are doing your Award elsewhere we are very happy to suggest workshops, performances or exhibitions that will help you achieve your Award.
Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.
What is an Arts Award?
- a great way for children and young people to be inspired by and enjoy the arts
- a way of documenting exciting projects that you may already be involved in
- a framework for learning new skills and sharing them
- an opportunity to develop creativity and leadership skills
- a link between young people and creative arts professionals
The benefits of Arts Award
Employers and colleges recognise it as proof of your skills and commitment.
The programme develops creativity, leadership and communication skills. Through Arts Award young people learn to work independently, helping them to prepare for further education and employment.
You can do an award with any arts, media or cultural activity…music, literature, film-making or drama etc, and through technical and support roles such as arts marketing, stage lighting and web design.
Discover and Explore (for anyone aged 7 - 25 yrs)
These levels are an introduction to the Arts Award and have recently been introduced.
They are all about seeing, trying, doing and enjoying new things. Find out what inspires you, learn about artists and make your own work.
Bronze, Silver and Gold (for young people aged 11 - 25yrs)
Your Arts Award can be based around any arts or media activity.
There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing the award, and no set rules on how you present your final work.
