Live Lunches taking place this season are:

Saturday 3 July with Robb Blake and Luke Hall
Robb Blake - The one man Ska explosion plays a rare acoustic show. Robb first burst onto the scene in 2001 as singer/guitarist of UK punk/ska outfit Whitmore. Whitmore released 2 Albums and 1 limited edition box set on world renowned ska label Moon Ska Europe, Playing over 1000 gigs in over 13 countries in 4 Years. After the band split in 2005 Robb had 2 years off to recharge his batteries before starting to write and record again. In 2007 Robb signed to the infamous ska label Do The Dog Music releasing his first solo album 'No Time To Waste' in the Sepotember. After a year of promotional touring 2nd album 'The One Man Ska Explosion' followed and finally in February 2010 the 3rd installment to the trilogy 'Aint Got No Soul' Followed. Luke Hall plays a range of original punky and blues tunes. With harmonica and guitar.  Ranging from songs with a serious political message, to songs about how fun it is to get drunk.  Generally all quite upbeat and will hopefully occasionally make you laugh.

Saturday 17  July with The Paper Shades and Jazica
The Paper Shades are an acoustic duo consisting of two acoustic guitars, a female and male vocal and the occasional mandolin! Their live sound of complimentary guitar work, close vocal harmonies and honest, moving songs have gained much appreciation from audiences and have been the key to ongoing bookings.

The Paper Shades are currently putting the finishing touches to their first EP which will be available to buy at this Live Lunch session.  

Formed in 2007, Jazica have headlined shows across the South and played alongside the likes of Fight Like Apes, The Spinto Band, Esser and Stricken City. One of the six finalists of the Road To V competition after being handpicked from over 1500 acts and impressing the judges at the Great Escape Festival.

Saturday 24 July with Phil King and Laura Jenkins
Laura Jenkins plays a fusion of blues, folk, jazz and soul with a guitar technique influenced by some of the great ‘tap’ style guitarists.

Saturday 7 August with Phil Cooper and Dan Sowerby
 
Having first picked up a guitar aged 12, Phil Cooper immediately started writing songs. Since then he has constantly honed his craft, and become an exceptional songwriter.

Dan performs an acoustic set of deep felt blues and his own original material, with soulful blues sounds and folkier tunes.

Saturday 28 August with Black Peak
Black Peak are Darren Black & Deborah Peake. They perform their own blend of original contemporary and traditional acoustic/folk, mainly around Darren's thought-provoking songs and tunes, and Deborah's creative fiddle arrangements.
