It is almost winter but egg is still egg:
“What’s wrong with you?” asks Mum, “Are you shy, are you worried or are you just lazy?”
She can’t wait to find out – it’s getting late and egg can’t stay all by himself in the big forest. There are bears and wolves and eagles!
Mum asks Percy to look after egg until he hatches. Percy has some help in the form of Sheila the fish, Nancy the invisible spider, Polly the butterfly and Jeremy the bear. If that wasn’t enough there’s also a wolf and a reindeer and through washing socks, sewing, singing and dreaming they all make it through the winter. But will Birdy come out?
With flying eggs, feathery snow, luminous eggs, a bear who gets fatter as you watch, disappearing eggs and eggs full of feathers, Watch the Birdy is packed-full of tricks, surprises, transformations and eggs and has been getting great responses from audiences across the country.
Performed by Patrick Lynch (better known as that man from Cbeebies Razzle Dazzle) this is a gentle show full of magic and surprises and our special ‘theatre-toys’, designed by Marcello Chiarenza, with songs and original music by Carlo ‘Cialdo’ Capelli.
Come and watch the Birdy!
Please note, this performance replaces the previously advertised Room in the Sky, which has unfortunately been cancelled. Many apologies for any inconvenience.
